In September 2006, shortly before his second birthday, Angus Lawson died in a tragic accident. Angus used to attend Jo Jingles classes in Beaconsfield and just loved singing and dancing.
To establish something permanent and fitting to ensure that other children benefit directly from Angus' life his parents, with the help of their friends have launched (and are administering) a charitable trust, THE ANGUS LAWSON MEMORIAL TRUST, the purpose of which is to make funds available to support directly children from underprivileged or disadvantaged backgrounds, to meet healthcare or educational needs.
The projects will focus on cases of children with specific needs, where they feel that the impact of the funds allocated will be visible and direct.
Within the ALMT there is no payment of professional salaries and no administration costs. Every £1 donated will go directly to the causes identified. In fact with matched giving (for DB staff) and Gift Aid there is a multiplier effect.
